The company Beesweet launched a brainstorming contest for the creation of a packaging solution for one of its premium products, directed to the students of Communication Design Course of ESAD. Marta Teixeira, Carlos Oliveira, Gil Pereira, Joana Lourenço and Sara García were the contest winners.
The company Beesweet — More than Honey launched a brainstorming contest for the creation of a new packaging solution for one of its premium products, directed to students of the Packaging Unit, within the area of the Bachelor’s degree in communication design.
An expressive set of proposals was presented, The jury distinguished 12 final designs: the 1st prize of the packaging was the student Marta Teixeira and 4 honorable mentions were attributed to the students: Carlos Oliveira, Gil Pereira, Joana Lourenço and Sara García. The winning packaging was awarded a trip to Macau, integrated in an action by Portuguese companies of innovation and entrepreneurship. The project was directed by teachers Margarida Azevedo and João Lemos.
The company Beesweet commercializes flavoured honey, an organic product of high gastronomic potential and medicinal value. The company develops natural aromas in honey, using plants to create flavours of lemon, peppermint, spice, cinnamon, chocolate and salt, products marketed in a recyclable top container, in the form of a gout.
This partnership between Beesweet and ESAD emerges as an approximation of the business world to the academic world, giving students an opportunity to develop a packaging solution to involve and present the honey container of Beesweet.
The presentation and exhibition of the selected designs and the premium delivery took place at the Porto Welcome Center on 24th of May, with a tasting proof of the products at a promotional event of the brand.
